What customers say?

“ Where do I start!? First, I accidentally made a reservation for the bar. When we came in with our kiddos, they very quickly pivoted and gave us a table in the regular dining area having to wait only about 10 minutes. The girl at the host stand was understanding and quick to respond with ease and a smile. She sat us at our table, and was genuine in her mannerisms and interaction. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by Myah, who was extraordinary. She explained a delay in the sushi bar, setting a realistic expectation of possible longer than normal wait times. We had a FANTASTIC dinner, that was timely, she very easily under promised and over delivered. Myah is undeniably invaluable. She is friendly, relatable, honest, and very clearly just loves people, life, and her job. She’s great at what she does, and she does it all with a smile and a little flair. I can’t wait until we visit again. Overall great food, unparalleled service, and comfortable atmosphere. ”

“ First time, great experience @ Shinsen. In photo, we got the Waterfront, Geisha and Rainbow Rolls along with the Sake flight with the sample that had hints of cookie dough (for real for real). Finished the evening with the Espresso & Chocolate Martinis. Sushi was clean n fresh. Same for the cucumber salad w/crab. Very cool spot with a great atmosphere. The lamp on our table could be dimmed and had multiple colors. Will try the Smoked Shinsen Old Fashion next time. ”

“ We came late in the evening and were welcomed in.The restaurant is beautiful and intimate. Paul our server went above and beyond with his service and hospitality. I had the veggie temaki and samurai roll, both of which were expertly crafted by the two men working behind the counter. The prickly Pear margarita was sublime with just the right amount of sweetness. A huge thank you for a wonderful dining experience! ”

“ Had a wonderful experience here. The fish quality was perfect. With the sashimi melting in my mouth. The drinks were fun! We got to try a new bubble bath drink which was super cute. They're keeping it classy while fun with the surrounding area and style. The bar area is a fun little seating spot for a date to keep intimate. The service was very pleasant and kind. Definitely a spot to sip and relax. ”

“ Shinsen was so accommodating to our group! That alone we appreciated! The prickly pear margarita was so visually appealing and tasted AMAZING!! The Geisha roll and every roll we had at our table was amazing!!! But wanted to highlight our customer service experience with Paul! He was the host with the mostest! He went above and beyond to take care of us and had such a fun personality! Will be back! :) ”

“ Very cute ambiance, definitely on the pricier side of sushi. Sashimi was very fresh! We splurged and got the Otoro (tuna belly) and the Uni (sea urchin). We loved it all. The scallop roll was okay but flavorless (no additional flavor to the rice I don’t think, or any sort of sauce). Server was friendly and helpful, although generally it would be nice for a restaurant that exudes an air of elegance to have clean table under the soy sauce and to make sure the vessels of soy sauce to be cleaned and filled between guests. Our drinks were very good but did take some time to come out. ”

“ Our server went above to deliver us an amazing experience, including a delicious mocktail and zero proof beer for Dry January. The rolls are much bigger than most and you can taste the quality! You won’t find spicy mayo on these rolls, just delicious rice and fish. It did take a bit long to get everything to come out so take that into consideration if you are in a rush or very hungry :) it was worth every bite! ”

“ We sat in the lounge/bar which felt swanky and nice. I’ve been eating sushi for 35 years and I can safely say this is some of the best quality fish I have ever come across. I’m a huge hamachi fan and their hamachi toro made my head explode. It was stellar! My wife got the waterfront roll and I got the Miller roll. I appreciate the fact their rolls feature the fish front and center and aren’t completely covered in eel sauce or spicy mayo. The shrimp in my roll was incredibly flavorful and not a flavor you’d expect to jump out at you. Her roll was amazing as well. Our tuna hand rolls were also perfect. Lots of fish and fresh ingredients within. Overall, we were blown away at the nigiri, rolls, and hand rolls. The gal we had serving us was incredibly friendly and great to chat with. The staff here seems so down to earth and kind. Really good vibes in that place. Overall, we were absolutely blown away. This is a high quality place that is worth every penny. Good luck going back to regular sushi after trying what they offer! Thank you guys again. We will be back soon! ”
